The Government's New Initiative: Unique APAR ID for Students Nationwide

The Ministry of Education has announced a plan to issue ‘APAR IDs’ to all higher education students across the country. To complete this initiative by June, all universities and colleges have been directed to speed up the process. This 12-digit Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAR) will help track students’ academic progress under the "One Nation, One Student" policy.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University is leading the way in creating APAR IDs and has already completed 75% of the task. During a recent review meeting, state education officials confirmed that they are working to create APAR IDs for all students and offer technical assistance where needed. Central Education Ministry Deputy Secretary Rohit Tripathi praised the university for its efforts and encouraged them to complete 100% of the APAR IDs soon.
