New Delhi, Nov 23: Windows 10 users can now explore Microsoft's AI-powered Copilot feature, which was previously exclusive to Windows 11. To access Copilot, users with eligible devices need to install a Release Preview build featuring this AI tool. Participation in the Windows Insider tester program is necessary to install the preview build and potentially experience Copilot on Windows 10 Home or Pro.

Microsoft advises that it may take some time for eligible devices to be confirmed for Copilot, even with the 'Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available' toggle enabled. System requirements for Copilot include at least 4GB of RAM and a display adapter supporting a minimum resolution of 720p.

It's important to note that the preview of the Copilot chatbot is currently restricted to select markets, such as North America and certain areas of Asia and South America, limiting access based on geographical location.

The Copilot in Windows button will appear on the right side of the taskbar in Windows 10. Upon selection, Copilot in Windows will display on the right side of the screen without overlapping with desktop content or blocking open app windows, according to the company.

In parallel developments, in compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in the European Economic Area (EEA), Microsoft has implemented several changes to the operating system. Users can now choose between providers and uninstall most in-box apps, including the Microsoft Edge web browser and Bing Search from the Windows Search pane, as reported by Windows Central.
