TIRUPATI: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) medical wing will establish eight new first aid centers around Tirumala to bolster emergency services for devotees during the upcoming annual Brahmotsavams, set to take place from October 4 to 12. Currently, TTD operates six permanent dispensaries in Tirumala and Tirupati, providing medical aid to devotees, employees, and locals.
To enhance support during the festivities, TTD will set up additional first aid centers at strategic locations, including two at Narayangiri Garden and one each at Rambageecha Rest House, Matrusree Tarigonda Vengamamba Anna Prasadam Complex, Silatoranam, Bata Gangamma Temple, Papavinasanam, and Seventh Mile.
These centers will be staffed with senior doctors, paramedics, and equipped with medicines and ambulances featuring advanced medical equipment, as per directives from the TTD medical department.
On Sunday, TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdhary inspected the four Mada streets and Laddu counters, accompanied by Temple Deputy Executive Officer Lokanatham and other officials. The inspection aimed to ensure smooth entry and exit points during the Brahmotsavam, especially on Garuda Seva day. Chowdhary also reviewed the Laddu Prasadam Complex to oversee the efficient distribution of laddus to pilgrims, providing valuable guidance to the concerned officers.
Additionally, TTD police and the Octopus team conducted a mock drill at Sri Padmavati Temple in Tiruchanoor early on Sunday. This exercise is part of TTD's measures to address potential threats and quickly manage any emergency situations.
