Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, as part of his South Indian temple tour, visited several sacred Shat Shanmukha pilgrimage sites. He visited the Sri Murugan Swamy temple at Tirupparankunram near Madurai in the evening. Temple authorities gave him a warm welcome and facilitated a special darshan. Pawan Kalyan performed prayers, while the priests explained the significance of the deity and the temple’s history.
During the visit, he offered prayers to Sri Subramanya Swamy, accompanied by Sri Valli and Sri Devasena. He also prayed at the Shiva and Vaishnava shrines within the temple premises. Later, Pawan Kalyan visited the temple’s Veda Patashala, where students chanted Vedic hymns to welcome him. The priests honored him with a traditional ceremony as part of the visit.
After Tirupparankunram, Pawan Kalyan visited the famous Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple. He offered sarees, flowers, and fruits to the goddess. Special rituals were conducted for him, and he participated in the Parashakti Parayanam recitation. He also visited the Sri Soma Sundareswarar temple, where he performed prayers and offered silk garments. Pawan Kalyan was accompanied by his son Akira Nandan and close associate, TTD Board member Anand Sai.
