The Hanumanthu family from Vasantapur village in Bagewadi taluk of Karnataka state, encountered a tragic incident as they lost two members of their family. During a conversation among family members, Hanumanthu's son Kumar and daughter Nayanshree were discussing and ingesting spoiled groundnuts. Unbeknownst to them, the groundnuts were rotten and posed a severe health risk.

The consumption of these spoiled groundnuts led to severe vomiting and discomfort for the children. As their condition deteriorated, the family rushed them to a private hospital in Hutatma Nagar. Given the severity of the situation, medical practitioners recommended transferring them to a government hospital. However, even after medical examination, it was determined that the unfortunate incident had already claimed the lives of the children.
