WPL 2025: Smriti Mandhana Praises Richa Ghosh & Ellyse Perry for RCB’s Record Chase
 

Vadodara, Feb 15: RCB captain Smriti Mandhana praised Richa Ghosh and Ellyse Perry for leading the team to a historic run chase against Gujarat Giants in the WPL 2025 opener at Kotambi Stadium.

Perry (57 off 34) anchored the innings after early wickets, while Richa Ghosh (64 off 24) played a stunning knock, helping RCB register the highest run chase in WPL history.

Smriti lauded their efforts, saying, “It was amazing to watch. They have been working hard, and I’m glad it paid off.”

Acknowledging RCB’s weakened bowling attack due to injuries, she added, “We lost key bowlers but have good replacements. We’ll work on improving bowling and fielding.”
