Chain snatchers are once again on the rampage in Hyderabad city. The chain snatchers broke the gold chain from the neck of a woman in broad daylight and ran away. The fact that this chain snatching happened in the vicinity of Habib Nagar Police Station has created a stir. An assailant entered the house of a woman named Vijay Kumari (57) in Gokul Nagar Basti while she was sleeping and committed chain snatching. She resisted the assailant who entered the house. The accused assaulted her and stole a four-tula gold chain from her neck and fled from there.
This incident created a commotion in the locality. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and investigated. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police registered a case and started an investigation.
CCTV footage is being examined to nab the accused. No matter how many special teams have been formed by the police to prevent such incidents from happening, the fact that chain snatching is happening is worrying.

హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలో చైన్ స్నాచర్లు మరోసారి రెచ్చిపోయారు. పట్టపగలే బరితెగించిన చైన్ స్నాచర్లు ఓ మహిళ మెడలో ఉన్న బంగారం చైన్ తెంపుకుని పరారయ్యారు. హబీబ్నగర్ పోలీస్ స్టేషన్ కూతవేటు దూరంలోనే ఈ చైన్ స్నాచింగ్ జరగడం కలకలం రేపింది. గోకుల్ నగర్ బస్తీలో విజయ్ కుమారి (57) అనే మహిళా ఇంట్లో నిద్రిస్తున్న సమయంలో ఇంట్లోకి ప్రవేశించిన దుండగుడు.. చైన్ స్నాచింగ్కు పాల్పడ్డాడు. ఇంట్లోకి ప్రవేశించిన దుండగుడిని ఆమె ప్రతిఘటించింది. దీంతో నిందితుడు ఆమెపై దాడికి పాల్పడి.. మెడలోని నాలుగు తులాల బంగారు గొలుసును దొంగలించి అక్కడి నుంచి పరారయ్యాడు.
ఈ ఘటన స్థానికంగా కలకలం రేపింది. సమాచారం అందుకున్న పోలీసులు ఘటన స్థలానికి చేరుకుని పరిశీలించారు. బాధితురాలి ఫిర్యాదు మేరకు పోలీసులు కేసు నమోదు చేసి దర్యాప్తు చేపట్టారు.
నిందితుడిని పట్టుకునేందుకు సీసీ కెమెరా ఫుటేజీని పరిశీలిస్తున్నారు. ఇలాంటి సంఘటనలు జరగకుండా పోలీసులు ఎన్ని ప్రత్యేక టీమ్లు ఏర్పాటు చేసినా చైన్ స్నాచింగ్ జరుగుతుండటం.. ఆందోళన కలిగిస్తోంది.
