Adilabad: On the auspicious occasion of Mula Nakshatram, a significant number of devotees visited the Gnana Saraswati temple in Basara, Nirmal district, to offer their prayers on Wednesday.
Approximately 25,000 devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra came to the temple to perform Akshara Abhayasam for their children. This ritual is believed to secure a bright future for children when conducted on the sixth day of Navaratri.
The temple authorities made arrangements for the devotees, providing drinking water and milk for children. Temple executive officer Vijaya Rama stated that the puja began at 2 a.m., and devotees actively participated in the Akshara Abhayasam ceremony.
To manage the large crowd and ensure a smooth experience, three mandapams were set up, as mentioned by Vijaya Rama.
