SLBC టన్నెల్ ప్రమాదంలో కీలక పరిణామం.. మరో మృతదేహం బయటపడింది!

A new dead body has been recovered in the SLBC tunnel accident near Srisailam. Rescue teams are making significant progress in their efforts. The body, which was trapped between the tunnel boring machine debris, was retrieved with great difficulty. Officials are now investigating whether the remaining workers are stuck near the loco track, and the search operation continues. Rescue teams are working tirelessly to find the six missing workers.

In a major breakthrough in the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel rescue operation, another dead body was found. The rescue efforts, now in their 32nd day, have been ongoing without interruption. The body was discovered 50 meters away from the conveyor belt, with a foul smell leading the team to the location. Special spray bottles were used to neutralize the odor, and gas cutters were used to remove TBM machine parts blocking the way. After clearing mud and debris, the body was recovered and identified as Manoj Kumar, a project engineer from Uttar Pradesh. His remains have been sent to Nagarkurnool Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The tragic accident occurred on February 22, trapping eight workers inside the SLBC tunnel. Multiple state and central rescue teams have been conducting day and night search operations to locate them. Despite several obstacles, the rescue teams are working relentlessly. On the 16th day, the body of Gurpreet Singh was recovered and handed over to his family. While the search for the remaining workers continued, another body was discovered, later identified as Manoj Kumar. Efforts are now focused on finding the remaining six workers.

Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a review meeting with officials regarding the rescue operation. Authorities informed him that the tunnel roof is weak and at risk of collapse. In response, the CM directed officials to explore alternative rescue methods to safely retrieve the trapped workers. Excavation is now being carried out in a different location (D1, D2) where officials suspect the workers might be trapped.
