Russia conducts a test of its latest nuclear submarine equipped with the Bulava missile

Vladivostok, November 6: The Russian Defense Ministry has announced the successful test launch of a Bulava ballistic missile from the newly commissioned nuclear-powered submarine, Emperor Alexander III.

The test launch took place in the White Sea, targeting the Kamchatka Peninsula, as stated in a release published on the ministry's social media channel on Sunday, according to Xinhua news agency.

"The missile was fired smoothly from a submerged position, with its warheads reaching the designated area on schedule," the statement noted.

The ministry also stated that this test launch marks the final phase of the state testing program for the Emperor Alexander III submarine, which is set to join the Russian Navy soon.

Emperor Alexander III is the fourth submarine in the Borey-A project, aiming to construct eight nuclear-powered submarines equipped with Bulava missiles.

These submarines represent the fourth generation and are integral components of the Northern and Pacific fleets' underwater forces.
