On October 18, OpenAI, with support from Microsoft, officially launched the internet-browsing feature for its generative AI chatbot, ChatGPT.
The 'Browse with Bing' feature has transitioned out of its beta phase and is now available to all Plus and Enterprise subscribers. Users in these categories no longer need to toggle the beta option to use browsing; they can seamlessly choose 'Browse with Bing' from the GPT-4 model selector.
In addition, OpenAI has integrated DALL-E 3 with ChatGPT, enabling the chatbot to respond to user queries with images. This means that ChatGPT can take simple sentences or detailed paragraphs and transform them into highly accurate images, making it a powerful tool for visualizing ideas.
Earlier this month, Microsoft had announced the general availability of DALL-E 3, the latest text-to-image model from OpenAI, within Bing Chat and Bing.com/create, and it's accessible for free. DALL-E 3 boasts several enhancements, including improved image quality and detail, as well as greater accuracy in rendering human hands, faces, and text within images, as highlighted in a Microsoft blog post.
OpenAI's DALL-E 3 model also incorporates new safety features, including invisible watermarks with time and date stamps for AI-generated content identification, and a moderation system designed to automatically filter out inappropriate or harmful images.
