NALGONDA: On Saturday, Nalgonda municipality achieved second place in the Swachh Vayu Divas event held at the Jaipur Exhibition Convention Centre in Rajasthan. For towns with populations of around 300,000, Nalgonda was awarded ₹25 lakh and a trophy under the Swachh Vayu Survey 2024, recognizing its efforts in reducing PM10 levels and improving air quality.
Rae Bareli secured the top spot for cities with populations under 300,000, while Nalgonda ranked second nationwide. Municipal Chairman Burri Srinivas Reddy attended the event to accept the accolade.
