Vijayawada: Kollu Ravindra, Minister for Mines and Geology and Excise, expressed optimism about Machilipatnam's forthcoming rapid development. Speaking after receiving public representations at the TDP office during Praja Darbar, he assured that the TDP-led NDA government remains committed to fulfilling its election promises systematically.
Under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT), Machilipatnam is slated to receive Rs. 58 crore for development initiatives. Additionally, there are plans for establishing a Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) oil refinery in Machilipatnam, with an anticipated investment of Rs. 60,000 crore. Recently, a BPCL delegation met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to discuss this potential development.
Minister Kollu Ravindra highlighted the advantages of the NDA government's free sand policy, emphasizing that significant infrastructure enhancements to support industrial growth are expected to be implemented in Machilipatnam within the next two to three years.
