Ronanki Kurmanath: AP Disaster Management Authority's Key Announcement – Thunderstorms and Rain Expected Today

The Andhra Pradesh Disaster Management Authority has issued an important alert regarding the weather conditions in the state today, April 14. It has been forecasted that moderate to light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds, is expected across the state. Ronanki Kurmanath, the Managing Director of the Disaster Management Authority, released a statement confirming these conditions. He urged the public to stay alert due to the unusual weather conditions involving both thunderstorms and gusty winds.

The authority mentioned that winds could affect 98 mandals across the state on Monday. Some of the areas where strong winds are expected include Alluru (5), Kakinada (9), Konaseema (8), East Godavari (7), Eluru (8), Krishna (10), Guntur (13), Bapatla (9), Palnadu (5), Prakasam (6) mandals. Additionally, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, East Godavari, Guntur, and Prakasam districts are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in some areas. The Disaster Management Authority has advised people to stay safe during the storms and winds, avoid standing near trees, stay away from glass windows, and refrain from using electrical appliances and mobile phones. The public has been urged to follow these safety instructions and remain cautious during this adverse weather.
