Lulu Malls to be Established in Amaravati, Tirupati, and Visakhapatnam

Lulu Group has expressed its willingness to establish malls in Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Tirupati, the spiritual city, and Visakhapatnam, the coastal metropolis. This development was revealed by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu during a cabinet meeting.

Notably, during the 2014-19 tenure of Chandrababu Naidu’s government, land was allocated for a Lulu Mall along the Visakhapatnam coastline. However, after a change in government, the project was shifted to Hyderabad. Now, with the coalition government back in power, the company has agreed to return to Andhra Pradesh. The state’s Investment Promotion Board has approved the proposal for a mall in Visakhapatnam, and the cabinet has now given its final approval.

Meanwhile, the government recently announced that construction work for Amaravati, the state capital, will resume with a formal ceremony led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This update was shared with the cabinet. To extend an official invitation, Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to visit Delhi this evening. During the visit, he will also meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss the release of pending funds for various state projects in the current financial year.
