Kowmudhi's academic path initially led her to a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Narasimhareddy Engineering College. She then worked in Infosys for three years. However, life took a new direction when she tied the knot with a musician and priest, who happened to be her husband. This unexpected turn led her from the corporate world to the land Down Under, Australia.
While juggling her family responsibilities, Kowmudhi rediscovered her passion for music. Back in her 8th-grade days, she had secured the top position in a state-level singing competition hosted by Bharat Vikas Parishad. Yet, like many in her generation, societal expectations nudged her towards pursuing a more conventional career path, and she put her musical aspirations on hold.
Kowmudhi's husband's deep connection to music, spanning 15 years, reignited her interest. She decided to follow her heart and learn music once again. This rejuvenated passion drove her to establish the Shri Varahi Vedashastra Sangeetha Seva Trust, with a goal of creating a Vedha Paatashala and offering service to help people connect with their cultural heritage.
Dedicated to classical music, the trust arranges kacheris and seeks to inspire young minds to explore their cultural roots, especially the profound Veda Shastras. Kowmudhi manages the trust single-handedly, without any external donors, relying on her own resources. Her dream is to serve the Telugu community in Hyderabad, connecting them with their heritage.
Kowmudhi's story isn't just about pursuing her passion; it's about shattering stereotypes. She's a mother of two, a son and a daughter, and she balances her family life alongside her trust. Her dedication is a testament to the adage that where there is a will, there is a way. Her son, gifted in reciting slokas, was recognized by her guru as having a profound understanding of Swarasthana Gnyanam.
Even staying miles away from her husband in Hyderabad, Kowmudhi's heart is full, as she wholeheartedly invests in her family and her trust. Her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. The echo of her melodies even resonates in the womb, where her baby girl danced during her learning sessions.
Looking ahead, Kowmudhi aspires to expand her trust's offerings, introducing music classes and enabling more individuals to connect with their roots through the timeless medium of music. Her contributions extend beyond the stage, as she has lent her voice to All India Radio and participated in numerous state-level competitions, showcasing her unwavering commitment to her craft.
Kowmudhi's guru, Daaruri Raghavachari Garu, known as the Hyderabad Brothers, recognized her talent and started nurturing her skills.
