In Kataripalem, Andhra Pradesh, Katari Jalayya, also known as MS Chowdary, stands as a guiding figure for the local fishermen who face exploitation from middlemen, a common issue in various trades. The challenges escalate with natural disasters like cyclones, further impacting the already difficult lives of the fishermen. Their reliance on a Jetty to safeguard their boats adds another layer of complexity, as obtaining one involves considerable hardship. Dasaratha Ramayya, an MLA from the opposition party, expresses inability to guarantee the construction of a Jetty.
