Health Ministry Announces Nationwide Screening Drive for High BP, Diabetes, and Cancer

Nationwide Health Screening Drive from Feb 20 to March 31

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has launched a nationwide screening campaign to detect high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer, urging individuals aged 30+ to get free check-ups at government healthcare centers.

Oral, Breast & Cervical Cancer

The ministry also highlighted diabetes symptoms like blurred vision, fatigue, excessive thirst, and slow wound healing, urging people not to ignore them.

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) account for 66% of deaths in India, with a significant rise among those aged 26-59, largely due to poor diet and lifestyle choices.

Government’s Push for a Healthier India

PM Narendra Modi, promoting the Fit India Movement, emphasized exercise and balanced nutrition, urging people to reduce daily oil intake by 10% for better health.
