The international demand for saffron, coupled with reduced cultivation in the state, has significantly escalated prices. Within a span of days, saffron prices have soared to unprecedented heights, reaching Rs. 12 lakh per quintal. Saffron is commanding this high price at the agricultural markets in Varangal district. Farmers in the region are expressing their joy as saffron is fetching Rs. 12 lakh per quintal at the market yards.

కొద్ది రోజుల వ్యవధిలోనే కుంకుమపువ్వు ధరలు అనూహ్యంగా పెరిగి రూ. క్వింటాల్‌కు 12 లక్షలు. వరంగల్ జిల్లాలోని వ్యవసాయ మార్కెట్‌లలో కుంకుమపువ్వు ఈ అధిక ధర పలుకుతోంది. కుంకుమ రూ.10 పలుకుతుండడంతో మండల రైతులు హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. మార్కెట్ యార్డుల్లో క్వింటాలుకు రూ.12 వేలు.
