The budgets for films featuring top stars have soared to new heights. With non-theatrical rights fetching significant sums, leading actors, directors, and technicians have increased their fees. Renowned music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who overcame a lean period with the success of 'Pushpa: The Rise,' was generously compensated for his work on the first installment, earning nearly Rs 4 crores. For 'Pushpa: The Rule,' the sequel, Devi Sri Prasad is now demanding a fee of Rs 8 crores, including GST, effectively doubling his remuneration. The music rights for the film were also sold for a record amount. Additionally, both director Sukumar and actor Allu Arjun have raised their fees and are set to share in the film's profits. 'Pushpa: The Rule' is one of the most expensive films slated for release in the coming year. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, it is scheduled for release on August 15, 2024.
