TIRUPATI: Devotees visiting the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala have praised the improved quality of laddu prasadam and urged that it be maintained, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday.
During a review meeting with senior officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Naidu emphasized the use of high-quality ingredients in prasadams, following recent allegations about adulterated ghee during the previous YSR Congress regime. Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy dismissed these claims.
Naidu also urged reducing VIP culture at the temple, calling for a simple, spiritual atmosphere with minimal expenses for decoration. He advised increasing Tirumala's forest cover and inaugurated the Vakulaamatha centralized kitchen. Additionally, he launched the 2025 TTD calendar and diary, after offering 'Pattu Vastralu' (silk robes) to the deity for the annual Brahmotsavams.
