CM Chandrababu Naidu Urges Development of Action Plan to Position State as Startup Hub

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to develop a comprehensive action plan aimed at establishing Andhra Pradesh as a leading hub for startups. During a review meeting on IT, Electronics, Communications, and Real-Time Governance at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Naidu emphasized the need for the state to excel in Information Technology (IT) and Electronics.
Naidu noted that many IT companies are interested in expanding their services to smaller cities and urged officials to leverage this opportunity to attract more IT firms to the state. He suggested collaborating with institutions such as IIM Visakhapatnam and IIT Tirupati to identify successful startups and implement strategies to bring them to Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also called for improvements in public services and proposed the establishment of a drone testing park in the state. Additionally, he mentioned that SRM and Reliance are considering setting up an Artificial Intelligence University and an Artificial Data Centre in the region.
