Indian Railways Announces Route Change for Chennai and Gorakhpur Express Trains
The Indian Railways has made a significant route change by shifting the starting station of two important express trains from Hyderabad and Secunderabad. According to the latest update, the Chennai Central–Hyderabad Express (12603), Hyderabad–Chennai Central Express (12604), Gorakhpur–Secunderabad Express (12589), and Secunderabad–Gorakhpur Express (12590) will now depart from Charlapalli instead of their previous terminals.
With this change, the trains have been renamed as Chennai Central–Charlapalli Express, Charlapalli–Chennai Central Express, Gorakhpur–Charlapalli Express, and Charlapalli–Gorakhpur Express. The first train from Charlapalli to Chennai Central has already started operations, while the changes for Gorakhpur-bound trains will take effect on March 12 and 13, as per railway officials.
This decision is expected to ease congestion at Hyderabad and Secunderabad stations and provide better connectivity for passengers in and around Charlapalli. The new arrangement will also improve train operations and reduce delays, making travel more convenient for passengers.
