62-year-old Dharamdev Ram from Baikunthapur, Palganj district, Bihar, has not taken a bath since 2000. Surprised to know about this matter. Dharamdev said that in 1987, he became aware of the rise in land disputes, animal slaughter and crimes against women. Dharamdev approached a guru to solve these problems. బిహార్ లోని పాల్గంజ్ జిల్లా, బైకుంఠపుర్కు చెందిన 62 ఏళ్ల ధరమ్దేవ్ రామ్.. 2000 సంవత్సరం నుంచి ఒక్కసారి కూడా స్నానం చేయలేదు. ఈ విషయం గురించి తెలిసి ఆశ్చర్యపడ్డారు. ఎందుకంటే ధరమ్ దేవ్ ఇన్ని ఏళ్లుగా స్నానం చేయకపోయినా.. అతని శరీరం నుంచి దుర్వాసన లేదు. ఎప్పుడూ అనారోగ్యబారిన పడలేదు. 22 ఏళ్ల క్రితం ధరమ్ దేవ్ 40 ఏళ్ల వయసులో తాను జీవితంలో స్నానం చేయనని అసాధారణమైన ప్రతిజ్ఞ చేశారు. ధరమ్దేవ్ రామ్ మహిళలపై నేరాలు, భూ వివాదాలు, జంతు వధలు అరికట్టే వరకు స్నానం చేయనని శబధం చేశారు.
స్నానం చేయడం వల్ల తన పని వృధా అవుతుందని అందువల్లనే స్నానం చేయడం లేదని చెప్పారు. జీవితంలో ఎన్ని ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురైనా తన ప్రతిజ్ఞకు కట్టుబడే ఉన్నారు ధరమ్దేవ్. 2003లో భార్య మాయాదేవి చనిపోయిన తర్వాత కూడా స్నానం చేయలేదు. తన ఇద్దరు అబ్బాయిలు చనిపోయిన తర్వాత కూడా వారి శరీరాలపై చుక్క నీరు పోలేదు. అతనికి కుటుంబ సభ్యులు కూడా మద్దతు ఇచ్చారు. ఆశ్చర్యకరంగా.. ధరమ్దేవ్కు ఎప్పుడూ అనారోగ్యానికి గురికాలేదు.
ధరమ్దేవ్ రామ్”1975లో బెంగాల్ లోని ఓ ఫ్యాక్టరీలో కార్మికుడిగా పనిచేస్తుండేవాడు.. 1978లో వివాహం జరిగింది. 1987లో భూ తగాదాలు, జంతు వధలు, మహిళలపై నేరాలు పెరగడంపై తనకు అవగాహన వచ్చిందని ధరమ్దేవ్ తెలిపారు. ఈ సమస్యల పరిష్కారం కోసం ఓ గురువుని ఆశ్రయించాడు ధరమ్దేవ్. 6 నెలలు గడిపిన అనంతరం.. అతడు అప్పటి నుంచి స్నానం చేయకూడదని నిశ్చయించుకున్నారు. ధర్మదేవుడు శ్రీరాముడిని ఆదర్శంగా భావించి ఆయన మాటలను గుర్తు చేసుకుంటూ జీవిస్తాడు. 22 ఏళ్ల నుంచి నుంచి స్నానం చేయకపోయినా ధరమ్దేవ్ ఆరోగ్యంగానే ఉండటం విశేషం.
