VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Minister for Revenue, Registration, and Stamps Anagani Satya Prasad has stated that the government initiated legal action against the family members of former minister Jogi Ramesh only after substantial evidence was collected regarding irregularities related to AgriGold lands. He emphasized that these actions are not driven by political vendetta.
In a media briefing at the Secretariat on Tuesday, Satya Prasad revealed that the family of Jogi Ramesh allegedly acquired land worth approximately Rs 5 crore. Following a complaint, police conducted an inquiry and uncovered the scam involving Ramesh's family.
The Minister assured that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu does not condone vendetta politics and that the government is committed to supporting victims and holding all guilty parties accountable under the law. He recounted that Jogi Ramesh had previously displayed arrogance and aggression, including attacks on Naidu’s residence. Satya Prasad clarified that the NDA government’s actions are based on legal principles, not vengeance. He also noted that Jogi Ramesh’s attempts to deflect from his corruption by invoking caste issues are unsubstantiated, even as his son faces legal consequences.
