In Vemavaram of Achanta mandal of West Godavari district, the idol of Sai Baba was anointed with beer bottles and whiskey bottles. 

Doing it with alcohol bottles instead of anointing in special vessels has left everyone in awe. Baba's devotees are angry about this new tradition.

 It is a tradition to anoint the idols of God with Panchamrita. Milk, honey, sugar and juice are filled in special vessels and anointed to the deity. 

But in Vemavaram, the villagers did the opposite. They poured money into beer bottles and whiskey bottles. Anointed with them. Devotees are angry about Abhishekam with bottles of liquor. They are angry that doing this is insulting God.

పశ్చిమగోదావరి జిల్లా ఆచంట మండలం వేమవరంలో సాయిబాబా విగ్రహానికి బీరు సీసాలు, విస్కీ బాటిళ్లతో అభిషేకం చేశారు.

ప్రత్యేక పాత్రల్లో అభిషేకం కాకుండా మద్యం బాటిళ్లతో చేయడం అందరినీ విస్మయానికి గురి చేసింది. ఈ కొత్త సంప్రదాయంపై బాబా భక్తులు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.

  దేవుడి విగ్రహాలకు పంచామృతాలతో అభిషేకం చేయడం ఆనవాయితీ. ప్రత్యేక పాత్రలలో పాలు, తేనె, పంచదార, రసం నింపి దేవతకు అభిషేకం చేస్తారు.

కానీ వేమవరంలో మాత్రం గ్రామస్తులు అందుకు విరుద్ధంగా వ్యవహరించారు. బీరు సీసాలు, విస్కీ బాటిళ్లలో డబ్బులు పోశారు. వారితో అభిషేకం చేయించారు. మద్యం బాటిళ్లతో అభిషేకం చేయడంపై భక్తులు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. ఇలా చేయడం దేవుడిని అవమానించడమేనని వాపోయారు.
