Trump recently expressed his desire for Canada to become the 51st state of the United States. It must happen!” Trump commented. He also claimed that the U.S. can’t continue financially supporting Canada unless it becomes a state.

Canada will always remain proudly sovereign and independent. We will never become the 51st state.” Meanwhile, Liberal Party leader Mark Carney, a former central bank governor, vowed to strengthen Canada’s independence by reducing reliance on the U.S. and expanding global trade. Carney warned that under Trump’s leadership, the U.S. was trying to bring Canada under American control.

The upcoming election is mainly between the Liberal Party, led by Carney, and the Conservative Party, led by Poilievre. Canada’s parliament has 343 seats, and a majority requires winning 172. Already, a record 7.3 million Canadians have voted in early voting, with the nation eagerly awaiting the election results to determine its future.
