Industrial Growth Without Pollution is Essential Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan highlighted the necessity of balancing industrial growth with environmental protection and pollution control, emphasizing that this balance is vital for promoting growth, hygiene, and overall health.
During the inauguration of a Consultative Workshop on Mitigation of Environmental Pollution, organized by the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APSPCB) on Wednesday, Pawan Kalyan stated, “Environmental protection should be a collective responsibility of industries.” He urged businesses to acknowledge their duty in fostering a sustainable environment for future generations. While recognizing the job opportunities that industries provide for youth, he insisted that they must also adopt pollution-free practices.
“Development that threatens the future of the next generations is unacceptable. Additionally, the notion that the APPCB is anti-industry is misleading.” He called on experts to develop lasting solutions to pollution, especially in Vizag, which is grappling with increasing challenges.
Pawan Kalyan pointed out the rising incidence of accidents related to industrial pollution and urged the implementation of preventive measures. He emphasized the importance of developing the State’s coastal corridor of 974 km without compromising ecological balance. “For the sake of future generations, we need to start thinking ahead,” he insisted, calling for collective efforts to tackle water and air pollution.
He encouraged experts and intellectuals to share valuable insights for crafting policies that promote pollution-free industries.
