Congress to Host Meet Your Minister Event to Address Party Workers Concerns

HYDERABAD: In a bid to enhance accessibility for party workers, the ruling Congress is set to launch the ‘Meet Your Minister’ program as part of its Praja Palana initiative at Gandhi Bhavan to address their concerns.
Medical and Health Minister Damodar Raja Narsimha will kick off the program by meeting party workers at the party office from 11 am on Wednesday.
During his first speech as TPCC president, B Mahesh Kumar Goud urged ministers to be present at the party office to allow party workers and the general public to voice their grievances.
He proposed that the “Meet Your Minister” sessions be held twice a week at Gandhi Bhavan on a rotating basis.
The Congress government has been conducting the Praja Palana program at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan, previously known as Pragathi Bhavan, where officials have been gathering representations from citizens. While ministers initially participated, the program is now managed by a dedicated team of officials.
The newly elected TPCC president emphasized the necessity of creating a platform within the party to address longstanding issues faced by party workers.
How Does ‘Meet Your Minister’ Work?
According to sources at Gandhi Bhavan, the concerned minister will receive representations from both party activists and the public. The minister will then forward the applications to the appropriate departments or communicate with authorities if immediate action is required.
Currently, the Congress has not set any limits on the number of activists who can approach the minister. However, sources indicate that they will streamline the process in the coming days.
