The South Central Railway has announced the cancellation of 30 trains due to ongoing non-interlocking works at Khammam railway station. These cancellations will take place from February 10 to February 20, affecting multiple routes including Kazipet–Dornakal, Dornakal–Vijayawada, and Bhadrachalam Road–Vijayawada passenger trains. Additionally, nine trains will be diverted during this period.
Express trains like the Golconda, Bhagyanagar, and Satavahana will also be unavailable for 11 days, as confirmed by South Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) A. Sridhar.
Key cancellations include:
- Golconda Express (17201/17202): Operating between Secunderabad and Guntur, canceled from February 11 to 21.
- Bhagyanagar Express (17233/17234): Running between Secunderabad and Sirpur Kagaznagar, canceled from February 10 to 21.
- Intercity Express (12705/12706): Operating between Guntur and Secunderabad, canceled on February 10, 11, 15, 18, 19, and 20.
- Satavahana Express (12713/12714): Running between Vijayawada and Secunderabad, canceled on February 11, 14, 16, 18, 19, and 20.
The Vande Bharat Express (20834), traveling between Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam, will experience a 75-minute delay on February 19 and 20. Similarly, the Krishna Express (17406), operating between Adilabad and Tirupati, will be delayed by 90 minutes on February 9, 11, 14, and 19, according to railway officials.
