Story

Shankar (Chiranjeevi), a diligent taxi driver, arrives in Kolkata with his sister Mahalakshmi (Keerthy Suresh) to facilitate her education. However, their journey takes an unexpected turn as a notorious mafia syndicate, led by the enigmatic Alex (Tarun Arora), perpetrates a series of abductions of young girls within the city's bounds.

When one of these kidnappings is foiled due to Shankar's intervention and collaboration with the local police, he inadvertently invites the wrath of Alex and his criminal empire. Fuelled by a thirst for vengeance, Alex plots a scheme to retaliate against Shankar.

The ensuing events unfold with suspense and intensity, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats. Does Alex succeed in his quest to eliminate Shankar? Unraveling the layers of Shankar's identity and uncovering his enigmatic past, the main storyline holds the key to these questions. Verdict:

On the whole, Chiranjeevi’s Bholaa Shankar is a mediocre action drama with decent performances from Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh. Comedy scenes here and there worked well in both halves. Keep your expectations in check while watching this movie, as it features a few unnecessary scenes and a laggy screenplay.
