YSR Telangana Party president YS Sharmila has been named the 259th witness by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy. The CBI court received her statement, given to the agency on October 7 last year in Delhi, which contains crucial details related to the investigation.

Sharmila asserted that she doesn't possess concrete evidence, but she believes the murder was politically motivated and not related to family or financial matters. However, she mentioned the MP seat issue as a potential subject of dispute. Sharmila also revealed an undercurrent of a cold war within the family, particularly involving YS Avinash Reddy, YS Bhaskar Reddy, and the late YS Vivekananda Reddy, despite the appearance of harmony.
