The recent tragic incident in Anakapalle district, where a ninth-grade girl was brutally murdered, has taken a startling turn with the accused, Suresh, having committed suicide in Andhra Pradesh. This event has garnered significant attention and sparked discussions across social media platforms.
Suresh, the prime suspect in the case, had allegedly slit the girl's throat and fled the scene on the 6th of this month. In response, law enforcement authorities had launched an extensive search effort involving 12 teams over the past four days. A reward of Rs. 50,000 was also announced for any information leading to his apprehension. However, before he could be located, Suresh took his own life. His body was discovered in Koppu Gundu Palem of Rambilli mandal.
The victim, a student at Rambilli Zilla Parishad High School, was found in a critical condition at her home by her grandmother shortly after the incident. Despite immediate medical attention, she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
It was revealed that Suresh, originally from Kashinkota, had been residing near his grandmother's house in Koppugundupalem and had a history of harassing the girl. A year ago, her family had filed a complaint against him, resulting in legal action under the POCSO Act. Recently released on bail, Suresh allegedly sought vengeance, leading to the fatal attack.
This incident has underscored concerns about the safety of minors and has prompted calls for stricter measures to prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.
