NTR collector asserts that thorough preparation is set for UPSC exams in Vijayawada

In Vijayawada, NTR District Collector Dr. G Srujana has meticulously planned for the upcoming UPSC examinations. She has directed officials to ensure smooth conduct of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Personal Assistant and Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Nursing Officers exams, scheduled under the auspices of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on July 7.
In a recent review meeting at the Pingali Venkaiah Conference Hall in the Collector’s Office, Dr. Srujana met with officials from various departments, including UPSC observer Ashok Kumar, DRO Srinivasa Rao, route officers, examination centre supervisors, and assistant supervisors. She outlined comprehensive measures to be implemented for the successful administration of these examinations.
Dr. Srujana highlighted that the EPFO exams will be held across nine centres and ESIC exams across 16 centres in Vijayawada. A total of 2,401 candidates are expected for the EPFO exam, and 5,433 candidates for the ESIC exam. Emphasizing meticulous planning and arrangements, she underscored the importance of ensuring a seamless examination process.
The EPFO Personal Assistant exam is scheduled from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, followed by the ESIC Nursing Officer test from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. To oversee these examinations, 25 liaison officers, 25 supervisors, and 25 assistant supervisors have been deployed.
Security measures have been prioritized, with instructions given to the police department to provide robust security at the examination centres. The medical and health department has been tasked with setting up medical camps, and the electricity department with ensuring uninterrupted power supply.
Dr. Srujana stressed the necessity of providing adequate facilities such as drinking water and sanitation at the centres to ensure candidates face no hardships. She reiterated the importance of candidates adhering strictly to exam rules.
To facilitate candidates' transportation to the examination centres, public transport authorities have been advised to increase services on relevant routes. Additionally, CCTV monitoring will be enforced at the exam centres, with Section 144 being implemented to maintain order.
In conclusion, Dr. Srujana reaffirmed the district administration's commitment to conducting these examinations efficiently, ensuring a conducive environment for all candidates involved.
