In Hyderabad eight individuals have been arrested for kidnapping the owner of a consultancy firm reportedly over unpaid salaries

Eight individuals have been arrested by Jubilee Hills police in Hyderabad for kidnapping the founder of a local data and financial consultancy firm and stealing items from his residence in Nandagiri Hills. The accused face charges of trespassing, confinement for extortion, and assault.
According to police reports, the victim, Ravichandra Reddy, founder of Gigleaz Private Limited, had not paid salaries to his staff for six months. The complaint was filed by Vakati Madhavi, Ravichandra’s mother, who stated that financial difficulties led to the non-payment of salaries to 1,200 employees hired through consultancies.
Angered by the delayed payments, employees and consultancies confronted Ravichandra at his residence in HUDA Colony. The situation escalated when the accused forcibly entered the premises, assaulted Ravichandra and his friend Mohan, and stole 84 laptops, 18 mobile phones, and three passports. They also threatened Madhavi to prevent her from reporting the incident to the police.
Following the abduction, Ravichandra was confined at Sunrise Hotel on Srisailam Road. The arrested individuals have been identified as Akula Jagadeesh, Shaik Azad, Karnati Mukesh, Kolagatla Gowtham, Katha Siva Shankar Reddy, Sudagani Sujith Kumar, Kamal Teja, and Rakesh. They were apprehended at Jagruthi Consultancy, Banjara Hills, where they confessed to their involvement in the abduction, assault, and theft.
Police investigations, supported by witness statements and evidence collection, led to the recovery of the stolen items, including laptops, phones, and vehicles. The case remains under investigation, with additional complaints lodged by employees of Gigleaz Pvt Ltd against Ravichandra for alleged cheating, filed at Raidurgam police station.
