Andhra Pradesh Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Prepares for Brahmotsavams

TIRUPATI:The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is diligently preparing for the annual Srivari Brahmotsavam, which will take place from October 4 to 12. Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao stated that all preparations will be completed by the end of September, ensuring a smooth experience for pilgrims. Additionally, the Pavitrotsavams will be observed from October 15 to 17.
In his first 'Dial Your EO' program held at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday, Syamala Rao shared details about these upcoming events and recent improvements aimed at enhancing pilgrim services. To increase darshan time for general pilgrims, the SRIVANI offline quota tickets have been limited to 1,000 daily, with 900 available at Gokulam Rest House in Tirumala and 100 at the Tirupati Airport booking counter.
Syamala Rao outlined several measures to improve the quality of services, including enhancing the Srivari Anna Prasadam and ensuring consistent food and milk distribution in queue lines. Three officers have been appointed to oversee amenities such as Annaprasadam, water, and medical facilities for pilgrims in the queues.
Efforts are also being made to combat brokering at Tirumala, provide affordable and hygienic food in all hotels, and improve the quality of Srivari Laddus. The TTD IT system has been upgraded to support these initiatives. The EO emphasized the importance of clean and quality food, with the Food Safety Department training hotel staff on hygienic practices. All Tirumala hotels will need to secure a Food Safety Department certificate to operate.
Following the program, Syamala Rao briefed the media on recent enhancements, including an increase in SSD tokens from 1.05 lakh to 1.47 lakh per week, aimed at reducing wait times for pilgrims.
