Ali's Political Retirement Stemmed from Exclusion by TDP and Jana Sena

Ali Bids Farewell to YSRCP:

Popular Tollywood comedian Ali, a long-time supporter of YSR Congress Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has announced his departure from the party. In a recent video release, he stated his intention to focus on his career in movies and television, stepping away from politics. This decision marks a significant shift for Ali, who has been actively engaged in political activities for several years.

Earlier, Ali had faced criticism from Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in 2019 during an event in Rajahmundry. Pawan had criticized Ali for joining YSRC after being offered a ticket by Jana Sena. In response, Ali defended his decision, highlighting his journey in the industry without the backing Pawan received from Chiranjeevi. Ali emphasized his contributions through a charitable trust benefiting diverse communities in Rajahmundry. He questioned Pawan’s assertions of support, noting he had not received roles in Pawan’s films or financial assistance, which some viewed as contentious among the Telugu community.

What did he get in YSRCP:

"Additionally, despite his allegiance to the YSRCP, Ali never secured an MLA or MP ticket in any election. Instead, he was appointed to a minor role as an electronic media advisor, a move that disillusioned many of his supporters who considered him disloyal to Pawan Kalyan during a critical phase of his political journey.

Speculations and Rumors: Closed Doors in TDP and JSP
Following Ali’s announcement of retirement from politics, rumors surfaced suggesting he might align with the TDP or Jana Sena, especially given YSRCP’s significant setback in the 2024 elections. However, sources indicate that both the TDP and Jana Sena have rebuffed Ali, leaving him without viable political options. This lack of support likely influenced his decision to withdraw completely from political life.

Ali’s resignation from the YSR Congress Party and his retirement from politics appear to stem from the closed doors at TDP and Janasena. With limited prospects within YSRCP, Ali has opted to return to his roots in the entertainment industry. It remains to be seen whether he will resume a busy schedule in movies and regain his former prominence.
