Why Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy instead of Vivekananda Reddy

Former Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has drawn criticism for voicing support for Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, who is currently jailed in connection with an EVM vandalism case. This move has sparked social media backlash, with Jagan becoming the target of trolls for backing an MLA caught damaging an EVM.
The issue escalated further when the TDP, under new president Palla Srinivasa Rao, seized upon the controversy to criticize Jagan. Palla linked the Pinnelli case with the unsolved murder of Vivekananda Reddy, aiming to highlight what he perceives as Jagan's priorities.
Palla pointedly noted that Jagan has shown little interest in expediting the investigation into the brutal murder of his own uncle, Vivekananda Reddy. In contrast, Palla criticized Jagan for promptly visiting Pinnelli in Nellore central jail despite the serious allegations against him. This contrast in treatment has raised questions about why Jagan appears to prioritize supporting Pinnelli over seeking justice for his late uncle.
The unresolved Viveka murder case has already had political repercussions for the YCP in Kadapa, with the party suffering significant losses in that constituency. Now, as this issue continues to be debated, it threatens to further impact Jagan's standing and reputation.
