Mega Prince Varun Tej recently concluded the shooting of his latest movie, 'Operation Valentine,' and wasted no time diving into promotional activities. During the India vs. New Zealand cricket match, Varun Tej made a special appearance in the commentary box of Star Sports Telugu. During the conversation, he humorously acknowledged the common perception that the Mega family is often likened to a cricket team.
It's a well-known fact that the Mega family, boasting many prominent film personalities, is sometimes humorously referred to as a cricket team by netizens. Varun Tej playfully admitted to this and also expressed his genuine passion for sports, particularly cricket.
"People often humorously call us a cricket team. We'd be more than happy to participate in a cricket match. I'll bring Charan, Bunny, Sirish, and Tej along with me," Varun Tej quipped.
Following in the footsteps of Megastar Chiranjeevi, his brothers Naga Babu and Pawan Kalyan ventured into the film industry. Later, Chiranjeevi's nephew, Allu Arjun, made his acting debut, followed by Chiranjeevi's son, Ram Charan. Naga Babu's children, Varun Tej and Niharika, also joined the world of cinema. Chiru's other two nephews, Sai Dharam Tej and Vaisshnav Tej, are also active in the industry, along with Allu Arjun's brother, Sirish. Even Chiranjeevi's former son-in-law, Kalyan Dhev, has appeared in a couple of films.
On another note, 'Operation Valentine' is a bilingual film released in both Telugu and Hindi. The movie is directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, an experienced ad-film maker, cinematographer, and VFX specialist. It is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sandeep Mudda from Renaissance Pictures.
