There is a high probability of a second flood warning being issued at Dowleswaram Barrage in AP

In Rajamahendravaram, the Dowleswaram Barrage is anticipating a second flood warning to be issued by Tuesday morning, following the initial warning issued on Monday. The inflows into the Godavari River surged to 12 lakh cusecs by Monday afternoon, nearing the threshold for the second warning set at 13 lakh cusecs.
Superintending Engineer G Srinivasa Rao confirmed that a second warning has already been declared at Bhadrachalam. At Dowleswaram Barrage, all 175 crest gates have been opened to release water into the sea, with 48 gates already lifted.
The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) is mobilizing its forces to prepare for potential deployments in affected areas.
The Sabari River's overflow has led to flooding in the Chinturu agency of the ASR district, affecting several mandals including VR Puram, Yetapaka, Chintur, Kunavaram, Velerupadu, Kukkunu in Eluru district, and Devipatnam mandal in Rampachodavaram revenue division.
East Godavari, West Godavari, Kakinada, ASR, Konaseema, and Eluru district administrations have been placed on high alert. In response to directives from East Godavari district Collector P Prasanti, 175 families from island villages have been evacuated to safer locations. Floodwaters have submerged horticulture and paddy fields in Tallapudi, Peravali, Nidadavolu, and Kovvur mandals of East Godavari district.
In West Godavari, efforts are underway to address a breach in the Gosthani River bund that inundated the ST Colony in Guttulavaripalem village of Palakoderu mandal. Collector C Nagarani has arranged sandbags and provided essential supplies to affected residents.
Eluru Collector K Vetri Selvi has overseen the evacuation of 28 pregnant women to Jangareddygudem government hospital from Velairpadu and Kukkunu mandals. She also visited rehabilitation colonies and supervised the relocation of families from flood-hit areas.
In ASR district, Collector AS Dinesh Kumar has directed the relocation of 226 pregnant women to various primary health centres (PHCs) from inundated villages in Chinturu mandal, emphasizing safety measures amidst the flood crisis.
