Light to moderate rains occurred at many places in Greater Hyderabad on Friday evening under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal. Due to the effect of the surface circulation, rains are likely to occur in many areas of Greater Hyderabad for the next three days, the authorities of the Meteorological Department have revealed.
Moderate to heavy rain fell on Friday evening. People who went out for work got wet. Motorists faced difficulties due to rain water standing on the roads. They went to work and faced many difficulties to reach back home. Traffic was disrupted in many areas due to rain.
Heavy rain occurred in Kukatpally, KPHB Colony, Hydernagar, Kuthbullapur, Suraram, Jedimetla, Balanagar and Suchitra areas of Hyderabad city. The situation is similar in Madhapur, Kondapur and Gachibowli. Moderate rain fell in Secunderabad, Chilakalaguda, Maredpally, RTC Crossroad, Boinpally, Alwal, Tirumalagiri, Mushirabad, Chikkadapally, Vidyanagar, Ramnagar and other places.
Moderate to heavy rains are falling in many districts of AP as well. Officials are expecting light to moderate rains at scattered places in Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitaramaraju, East Godavari, Kakinada, Konaseema, West Godavari, Eluru, Kurnool and Nandyala districts on Saturday.
However, officials have warned that there is a chance of thunder along with the rain. Farmers, laborers and herdsmen who have gone to the farm are advised to take proper precautions during rains. It is especially clear not to stand under trees.

బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఏర్పడిన వాయుగుండం ప్రభావంతో శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్‌లో పలుచోట్ల తేలికపాటి నుంచి మోస్తరు వర్షాలు కురిశాయి. ఉపరితల ఆవర్తనం ప్రభావంతో రానున్న మూడు రోజుల పాటు గ్రేటర్ హైదరాబాద్‌లోని పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉందని వాతావరణ శాఖ అధికారులు వెల్లడించారు.
శుక్రవారం సాయంత్రం ఓ మోస్తరు నుంచి భారీ వర్షం కురిసింది. పనుల నిమిత్తం బయటకు వెళ్లిన వారు తడిసి ముద్దయ్యారు. వర్షపు నీరు రోడ్లపై నిలిచిపోవడంతో వాహనదారులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు పడ్డారు. కూలి పనులకు వెళ్లి తిరిగి ఇంటికి చేరుకోవడానికి అనేక ఇబ్బందులు పడ్డారు. వర్షం కారణంగా పలు ప్రాంతాల్లో ట్రాఫిక్‌కు అంతరాయం ఏర్పడింది.
హైదరాబాద్ నగరంలోని కూకట్‌పల్లి, కేపీహెచ్‌బీ కాలనీ, హైదర్‌నగర్‌, కుత్బుల్లాపూర్‌, సూరారం, జీడిమెట్ల, బాలానగర్‌, సుచిత్ర ప్రాంతాల్లో భారీ వర్షం కురిసింది. మాదాపూర్, కొండాపూర్, గచ్చిబౌలిలోనూ ఇదే పరిస్థితి. సికింద్రాబాద్‌, చిలకలగూడ, మారేడ్‌పల్లి, ఆర్టీసీ క్రాస్‌రోడ్‌, బోయిన్‌పల్లి, అల్వాల్‌, తిరుమలగిరి, ముషీరాబాద్‌, చిక్కడపల్లి, విద్యానగర్‌, రాంనగర్‌ తదితర ప్రాంతాల్లో ఓ మోస్తరు వర్షం కురిసింది.
ఏపీలోని పలు జిల్లాల్లో కూడా ఓ మోస్తరు నుంచి భారీ వర్షాలు కురుస్తున్నాయి. పార్వతీపురం మన్యం, అల్లూరి సీతారామరాజు, తూర్పుగోదావరి, కాకినాడ, కోనసీమ, పశ్చిమగోదావరి, ఏలూరు, కర్నూలు, నంద్యాల జిల్లాల్లో శనివారం అక్కడక్కడ తేలికపాటి నుంచి ఓ మోస్తరు వర్షాలు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు అంచనా వేస్తున్నారు.
అయితే వర్షంతో పాటు పిడుగులు పడే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు. పొలానికి వెళ్లిన రైతులు, కూలీలు, పశువుల కాపరులు వర్షాకాలంలో తగు జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకోవాలని సూచించారు. ముఖ్యంగా చెట్ల కింద నిలబడకూడదని స్పష్టం చేశారు.
