HYDERABAD: The AICC is expected to approve the expansion of the Telangana Cabinet by Dasara. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and key ministers are set to travel to Delhi to discuss the matter with AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the coming days.
The Cabinet expansion, which has been delayed for several months due to Kharge and Rahul’s commitments with the Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir elections, is now gaining momentum. The party aims to fill four of the six vacant Cabinet slots, leaving two open for future needs.
With the recent elections concluding, AICC leaders are shifting focus to Telangana’s Cabinet before attention turns to the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Party sources say that aspirants have been pressuring the leadership for their promised inclusion in the Cabinet, made during the Assembly elections and at the time of joining Congress.
