HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on Monday that appointment letters would be distributed to selected candidates at LB Stadium on October 9, following the release of the District Selection Committee (DSC) 2024 results, which aim to fill 11,062 vacant teacher positions.
The results were announced in a 1:3 ratio, and candidates can view them on the official website, www.tgdsc.aptonline.in.
The School Education Department conducted the Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the DSC from July 18 to August 5, 2024. The recruitment includes positions for school assistants, language pandits, secondary grade teachers, physical education teachers, and special education teachers at both primary and secondary levels in government and local body schools across the state.
Certificate verification at the district level is scheduled from 10 AM to 5 PM between October 1 and October 5.
After the results were released, Revanth criticized the previous BRS government for neglecting the state’s education system, noting that only one DSC notification was issued in the last decade under BRS, which filled 7,857 teacher posts. “In contrast, our government has prioritized education by initiating the teacher recruitment process soon after taking office,” he stated.
Revanth highlighted that the DSC was conducted following the teacher eligibility test to address the demands of job aspirants. He also mentioned that the DSC recruitment notification was issued within 65 days of Congress coming to power.
Additionally, the chief minister announced plans to enhance educational infrastructure by establishing integrated residential schools on 20-25 acres in 100 constituencies, with pilot projects already underway in Kodangal and Madhira.
He further criticized the previous administration for delays in teacher promotions and transfers, asserting that his government had efficiently addressed these issues. He noted that 30,000 government recruitment letters were issued within 30 days of Congress taking power and highlighted reforms made to the TGPSC Group I examination under his leadership.
