Shankar elaborates on how the concept of Indian 2 remains pertinent in todays digital age

Director Shankar, ahead of the release of "Indian 2" on July 12th, is actively promoting the vigilante action thriller starring Kamal Haasan, which is also set to have a sequel. During promotional events across major Indian cities, Shankar addressed the relevance of the iconic character Senapathy in the digital era.
When asked about how Senapathy has evolved in today's digital age, Shankar responded, "Senapathy resides within everyone. Everyone harbors frustrations and desires for change. That's why I brought back the character of Senapathy and crafted the sequel's script. Corruption continues to be a prevalent issue in India, highlighted daily in the news. In the era of social media, I've structured the story to resonate with today's youth naturally."
The promotional activities have seen a strong response, with a Twitter campaign urging Senapathy's return amid escalating corruption. With the film addressing such a pertinent issue, anticipation is high for Shankar's screenplay adaptation. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film, adding to the excitement surrounding "Indian 2."
