HYDERABAD: On Monday, Rahul Gandhi, former AICC president and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, voiced his concern over the severe flood situation in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He urged Congress leaders and workers to deploy all available resources to aid the ongoing relief and rescue operations.
In a message posted on X (formerly Twitter), Rahul expressed his solidarity with the people of the affected states, acknowledging their struggle amidst continuous rainfall and destructive floods. “My heartfelt condolences go out to the families who have lost their loved ones,” he wrote.
Rahul commended the Telangana government for its relentless efforts in managing the crisis and initiating recovery efforts. He also called on both the Union government and the Andhra Pradesh government to promptly provide comprehensive rehabilitation packages for those impacted by the floods.
