Private medical colleges in Telangana will require fee payment at the start of the academic year

The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee has instructed private medical colleges to collect fees in full at the beginning of each academic year, divided into five equal installments.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) issued a directive on Wednesday to private medical colleges regarding fee collection for the academic year.

The committee mandated that the total fee for the MBBS course, amounting to Rs. 65.25 lakh for the entire 4 1⁄2 years, be divided into five equal installments. This fee structure is to be collected at the beginning of each academic year.

According to TAFRC, the fee should not be collected in advance from students. Additionally, the committee emphasized that colleges should not collect fees from students who were previously detained or failed during their course and later continued, as they have already paid their fee for that academic year.
