During the visit, President Dharambeer Gokhool conferred the 'Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean' (G.C.S.K) award on PM Modi—the first Indian leader to receive this prestigious honor. PM Modi dedicated the award to the India-Mauritius friendship and their people.

Strengthening India-Mauritius Strategic Ties

PM Modi’s visit marks a new chapter in India-Mauritius bilateral relations. The Enhanced Strategic Partnership aims to deepen collaboration across economic, cultural, and security sectors. An Indian Navy marching contingent and a Naval Ship participated in Mauritius' National Day celebrations.

Spiritual Gesture at Ganga Talao

In a special gesture, PM Modi visited Ganga Talao, offering prayers and immersing holy water from the Triveni Sangam. This act symbolized the spiritual unity between the two nations and their shared commitment to preserving cultural heritage.
