KCR Expected to Convene Meeting with Key Leaders Next Week

HYDERABAD: Following the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to his daughter and MLC K Kavitha in the Delhi excise policy case, BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to convene a meeting with key party leaders next week.
Sources suggest that the former Chief Minister and current Leader of Opposition will gather with present and former MLAs, MLCs, MPs, and other significant leaders to address the current political climate and the issues confronting Telangana.
“KCR appears visibly relieved and focused after Kavitha’s bail. His attention is now on several key areas—restructuring and revitalizing the party, restoring public trust, and planning protests to highlight the Congress government’s shortcomings,” noted a party insider.
Senior party leaders are preparing topics for the meeting's agenda, where Rao will offer guidance on advancing the party’s objectives. The BRS is expected to announce strategies for upcoming local body elections and plans to "expose" the state government's failure to deliver on the six guarantees made during the 2023 Assembly elections.
The party has already launched a campaign criticizing the Congress government’s performance. Leaders such as KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, Jagadish Reddy, and Sabita Indra Reddy have been actively involved in protests and visits to flood-affected areas in Khammam, Suryapet, and Mahabubabad districts. They have also held press conferences to highlight alleged inadequacies in the government’s response to flooding.
Harish Rao has specifically targeted CM Revanth Reddy, calling for an all-party meeting on the flood situation and urging the state to pressure Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for flood relief funds. However, there has been no response from the state government to his demands.
KCR is anticipated to unveil an action plan to address the government's failures and mobilize party leaders and cadres for statewide protests on these issues.
