VIJAYAWADA: Ahead of the MLC by-election for the Visakhapatnam Local Authorities Constituency, YSRC chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy met with local body representatives from Araku and Paderu Assembly constituencies at his camp office in Tadepalli on Wednesday.
In his address, Jagan urged the representatives to support YSRC candidate Botcha Satyanarayana, emphasizing that the election should send a message to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. He highlighted YSRC's strong position in local bodies and criticized the TDP for lacking sufficient support.
Jagan denounced TDP's decision to contest the election, asserting that adherence to moral values should have prevented them from doing so. He called for collective effort to secure victory for YSRC and condemned alleged attempts by TDP to influence local representatives. Jagan reaffirmed his commitment to the tribal areas of Visakhapatnam and expressed appreciation for the continued support since the party's formation, contrasting it with Naidu's failed promises from the 2014 elections.
