WARANGAL: Minister Konda Surekha Inspects Warangal Fort, Calls for Development as Ecotourism and Heritage Site
On Sunday, Environment & Forests and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha visited Warangal Fort and instructed the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) and district authorities to advance its development as a key ecotourism and heritage tourism destination.
During her inspection, Minister Surekha directed GWMC Commissioner Ashwini Tanaji Wakade to complete the ongoing construction of the community hall and add an additional floor, as requested by local residents.
The minister also announced plans to enhance Agartala pond with lighting and introduce boating facilities for visitors.
She noted that state funds would be allocated for the Archaeology department museum and instructed officials to complete the long-delayed projects before Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s visit to Warangal on September 9.
